Community First CU announces promotions, new hires

Community First Credit Union has announced several recent promotions and new hires.
Michael Vedder has been promoted to assistant vice president of business services, working with business members on commercial loans and deposit products. He worked as a credit analyst for Community Bank & Trust in Sheboygan before joining CFCU in 2007.
Tim Barthel has joined CFCU as vice president of branch operations. He has previous work experience with Capital Credit Union, CoVantage Credit Union and Idaho Central Credit Union.
Chad Rath has been hired as senior vice president of administration. He has over 20 years of financial services industry experience, including vice president of administration with the Business Lending Group and vice president/controller for U.S. Bank Loan & Lease Operation, Oshkosh.
Kathy Fandrey joined CFCU as vice president of human resources. She has 22 years of experience in leadership and human resources, including 14 years as vice president human resources at Capital Credit Union.
Cathy Mutschler has been hired as vice president of marketing. She has 29 years of marketing and leadership experience, including six years with Capital Credit Union and most recently as Director of Giving with U.S. Venture.
Vicki Running joined CFCU as vice president of risk management. She has 27 years of experience in financial services, including 13 on the senior leadership team with Capital Credit Union.
Mary Lornson has been promoted to vice president of consumer lending. She came to CFCU in 2013 and has more than 25 years of credit union experience, including serving as vice president lending and financial services with Prospera Credit Union.
Lisa Otto has been hired as branch manager in Two Rivers. She has more than seven years’ experience in financial services.
Andrew Martin joined as a financial advisor with Community First Financial Advisors. He has previous investment experience with Edward Jones and First Merit Bank.
Tony Balza has been promoted to assistant branch manager at the Nicolet branch. He started with CFCU as a student teller, worked as an intern while in college before starting full-time in 2009.
Angela Horn has been hired as a marketing director. She has nine years of marketing experience, including six in professional services, most recently with Baker Tilly.
Donald Anderson joined CFCU as information technology security manager. He worked previously as an IT security auditor for the state Office of Credit Unions.
