September 24, 2009 APPLETON, WI – Community First Credit Union has announced an upcoming free seminar on College Planning and Financing to be held Monday, September 28 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at their corporate office located at 2626 S. Oneida St., Appleton, Wis. Attendees will learn about the college selection and application process; take home tips for completing the FAFSA; and better understand financing resources including grants, scholarships, federal loans and Community First’s Alternative Student Loan. “According to a survey by the Princeton Review, students have a great concern around financial aid, with 85 percent stating that they wouldn’t be able to pay for college without it,” reports Community First Student Loan Coordinator, Jessica Streich who will present the seminar. “The seminar is perfect for students who are beginning to think about going to college and for students who already have been accepted.” The seminar is free to anyone interested in attending, however registration is required.
