November 25, 2009 Community First Credit Union Collects Over $15,000 for the Stock the Shelves Campaign
APPLETON, WIS – Community First Credit Union members donated $15,000 and 1,300 non-perishable food items for 14th Annual “Stock the Shelves” Do It! Community Campaign. In addition to the member donations, Community First joined forces with the The Post-Crescent, JJ Keller Foundation, Express Convenience Centers and a host of Fox Cities Credit Unions raising more than $272,000 to help 19 food pantries in the Fox Cities area.
This year’s “Stock the Shelves” Campaign raised more money than in the previous 13 years combined. Random acts of kindness and giving contributed to this year’s successful campaign, including a $1,000 anonymous donation from a member at the Community First Credit Union Greenville branch.
Dan Flannery, Executive Editor, of The Post-Crescent said, “Every donor, and every dollar, will make a difference in a Fox Valley life.”
Community First credit union would like to thank everyone who donated for their generosity to help others in our communities!
