Community First Credit Union Member Story selected for Nationwide Video Contest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

December 16, 2009

Appleton, Wis. – A Community First Credit Union member’s story has been chosen among the top five stories in a REAL Solutions video contest presented by the National Credit Union Foundation to capture real-life stories of how credit unions have been helping members. Community First Credit Union submitted a video profiling the Gregory family who, with the help of CFCU, has achieved their dreams of starting a family and owning their own home.

The top five videos are now open to a public vote to determine a winner in the REAL Solutions video contest. The top vote-getting credit union and featured member will receive a free trip to Washington DC to be honored at the 2010 Credit Union National Associations’ Governmental Affairs Conference in February. The public can view the videos at www.communityfirstcu.org to cast their votes before the December 18th deadline.

Each story submitted is an example of the credit union difference across the country, and are reflective of the challenges credit union members face and the real solutions credit unions provide them with every day.

Community First Credit Union has over 360 employees and serves over 82,000 members-owners with 16 branches located throughout Northeastern Wisconsin. Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, Manitowoc, Waupaca, Brown, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Oconto, Shawano, Sheboygan and Waushara counties. The credit union has assets totaling more than $1 billion.
