Community First Credit Union opens its first Brown County branch Monday, June 1 at the corner of Scheuring Road and Lawrence Drive, near Wal-Mart and U.S. 41.
"We're constantly asking our members, 'Where would you like to see us?'" said CFCU president and CEO Cathie Tierney. "Members have been asking for Brown County branches for a while. We're looking to grow and we think this is a great entry into that marketplace."
This will be the sixth county CFCU serves and its 16th traditional branch. The new 5,800-square-foot De Pere office hired 13 employees.
Tierney said the credit union purchased land for two additional Brown County branches in Bellevue and Howard. They will likely open in 2010.
