Matching Funds for Kimberly Fire Department

Kimberly fire station.Community First Credit Union has partnered with five like-minded businesses (U.S. Venture, Design Air, East Wisconsin Savings Bank, Capital Credit Union and Festival Foods) to offer $20,000 in matching funding to purchase new life-saving extrication equipment used by the Village of Kimberly volunteer fire department in responding to crashes and other emergencies.
Watch for opportunities to ‘Fill the Boot’ throughout Kimberly or visit any Community First branch to donate and replace equipment that is more than 20 years old. The hydraulic extrication tools are critically important in situations where lives are in danger and quick access is imperative.
As a result of the matching funds, all donations made will be doubled with the goal of raising at least $40,000, the minimum cost to purchase the equipment.
Please consider joining us in support of the village’s volunteer firefighters who serve the community where they proudly live or work.
You can get involved in this community drive in three ways:
  • Donate by purchasing ‘I Helped Fill the Boot’ icons at one of Community First’s 26 branches or any East Wisconsin Savings Bank location.
  • Contribute to the ‘Fill the Boot’ drive coordinated by Boots Chiropractic at any of these businesses/locations (Kimberly Municipal Center, Kimberly Public Library, Tanner’s Bar & Grill, Anduzzi’s Sports Club, Tiger’s Tavern, Peerenboom’s, Marty’s Place and Boots Chiropractic). Butch’s Pizza will also accept donations on take-out and delivery orders.
  • Send a check payable to the Village of Kimberly – Fire Department at 515 W. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly WI 54136.
Watch for the fundraising progress thermometer in front of the Kimberly Municipal Center across from the Community First branch at 600 W. Kimberly Avenue.
