Community First Credit Union Celebrates 5-Year Partnership of Granting Wishes

For more than 30 years, Green Bay-based radio station, WIXX, has made the season bright for many local residents through its Christmas Wish program. The program encourages listeners to nominate individuals and families that – through no fault of their own – have come across hard times and have nowhere else to turn. Whether the wishes be for monetary assistance or items addressing specific needs, the ultimate goal, of course, is to grant as many as possible based on merit and ability to fulfill.

Genuinely moved by the heart-filled stories submitted to the WIXX team, Community First Credit Union began supporting wish fulfillment in 2020 and has partnered with the radio station every year since. This marks the fifth holiday season the credit union has brought its “We’ll find a way” spirit to the cause.

Wishes will continue to be granted through the New Year, with some much-appreciated contributions already on their way to deserving nominees. Already this year, Community First has been able to extend its support to families grieving the loss of a parent, children undergoing life-saving surgeries, and those facing unexpected unemployment – with several other individuals being helped through contributions made by additional partners and donors.
