Investing in the Future April 24, 2026 The future is bright! Recently, we joined other local credit unions at the 2026 Greater Fox Cities Chapter Annual Meeting. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of annual scholarships, a tradition that recognizes outstanding high school seniors who are also members of local credit unions. Community First VP Product Marketing & Scholarship Committee Chairperson Angela Skrobutanas led the presentation, noting the incredible caliber of talent in our region. This year, the committee reviewed nearly 100 applications, evaluating students on their academic focus, community involvement, and their responses to two meaningful essay topics: Financial Education & Community Engagement. After a rigorous selection process, three students were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their continuing education. Congratulations to the Community First 2026 Scholarship winner! Alexis B.: A senior at Hortonville High School and a member of Community First Credit Union, Alexis is a familiar face in local volunteer circles. As a dedicated Girl Scout, she has contributed nearly 500 hours of service to our community, ranging from food pantry support to creating care packages. Alexis plans to attend UW-Oshkosh to pursue a degree in Finance with a minor in Risk Management and Actuarial Sciences. Congratulations to All We are incredibly proud to support these three bright individuals as they embark on their next chapters. Their commitment to financial literacy and community service embodies the "people helping people" philosophy of our credit unions. Congratulations again to Callahan, Alexis, and Sydney! We wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors.
