Community First Rudolph Run kicks off holiday event in Neenah | A Very Neenah Christmas on Dec. 7 features live mannequin downtown store windows | Wednesday, November 21, 2018 NEENAH – The Community First Rudolph Run through downtown on Dec. 7 signals the start of a special Norman Rockwell-like community celebration: A Very Neenah Christmas. Community First is pleased to help kick off this community holiday event as the title sponsor of the Rudolph Run, a four-block, family-friendly scamper on Wisconsin Avenue from Shattuck Park to Gateway Plaza and the community Christmas tree. Community First volunteers and mascot Cash the Cub will be on hand to assist with registration and more. The walk-run begins at 6 pm. Pre-registration is required online by Dec. 6 or starting at 5:15 pm at Shattuck Park. Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas-themed costumes and prizes will be awarded. For more, go to www.neenah.org and follow the links to A Very Neenah Christmas or the Community First Rudolph Run. Participants soak in the holiday ambiance, including downtown storefronts featuring live mannequin front window displays, on the run-walk. Once all reach the finish (about 6:15 pm), the community Christmas tree will be lit and trigger a holiday sing along. Community First is proud to have a long-standing partnership with Neenah and its community-driven nonprofit organization, Future Neenah. A Very Neenah Christmas runs from 6-8 pm and includes the following family-oriented activities: free horse-drawn carriage and hay wagon rides, visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus, an ice sculpture garden and deejay in Gateway Plaza, marshmallow roasting, carolers throughout downtown, a hand-bell choir from the Fox Valley Christian Academy, dancers from the Valley Academy for the Arts and more. Community First operates three full-service branches in Neenah, two others nearby (downtown Menasha and Fox Crossing) and has 25 branches overall throughout the region. As a member-owned financial cooperative with $3 billion in assets and more than 135,000 members, Community First believes strongly in promoting volunteerism and community engagement where its members live and work.
