Community First Credit Union was once again recognized by Raddon Financial Group as a Top 10 U.S. Credit Union for its financial performance in 2014. This is the seventh straight year Community First has received the Crystal Performance Award.
Raddon Financial Group, a leading provider of financial industry research, trend analysis and benchmarking, analyzes more than 500 U.S. credit unions each year to identify the top achievers based on growth, income, efficiency and margin management.
“Receiving seven consecutive Crystal Performance Awards is indeed a momentous achievement for Community First Credit Union,” said Bill Handel, Raddon Vice President/Research. “To be able to sustain this kind of performance consistently, year in and year out, through some of the most tumultuous times in the industry’s history, is a tribute to the leadership and staff at the credit union.”
Community First has ranked in the top tier of U.S. credit unions above $500 million in assets since 2008. “Community First is one of those rare places where you find that the member truly resides at the center of the organization,” Handel said.
“This is a rare achievement and something that our members can be proud of,” said Cathie Tierney, President/CEO of Community First. “We have a responsibility to all of our members to ensure their credit union is safe and sound. We’re honored to have our efforts recognized again this year, particularly as we celebrate 40 years of ‘Finding a Way’ for our members.”
Community First Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative serving over 120,500 member/owners in Northeast and Central Wisconsin. It has more than $2.2 billion in assets and operates 22 full-service branches along with eight non-traditional branches in schools, retirement communities and the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Wis.
